We are pleased to announce that Bari Becker, has joined the First Contact Board of Directors. Bari brings an incredible mix of community passion, nonprofit leadership, and deep Tampa Bay connections to our Board, and we’re thrilled to welcome her into the First Contact family!
A Community Connector at Heart
Currently serving as Community Relations Manager for Orlando Health – West Region, Bari spends her days doing what First Contact is all about—building meaningful relationships and connecting organizations, partners, and people to make communities stronger. Over the years, she has worked closely with more than 100 local nonprofits, led hundreds of community activations, and supported volunteerism, sponsorships, and outreach efforts that directly improve lives throughout the region.
Her professional background spans healthcare, education, and nonprofit development, with previous roles at organizations such as Step Up For Students, the Alzheimer’s Association, and USF Health. Simply put: Bari knows how to bring people together around shared purpose—and make things happen.
A Shared Passion for 988 and Behavioral Health
One of the reasons Bari was drawn to First Contact is her passion for behavioral health and crisis support, particularly the life-saving work of 988. “I’m especially passionate about the work being done with 988 and helping spread the message so people know where to turn when they—or someone they love—need support,” Bari shared.
A Leader in the Community
In addition to her professional work, Bari is deeply engaged in civic leadership. She has served on the Leadership St. Pete Planning Committee and is currently a member of Leadership Tampa Bay, Class of 2026. These experiences have further strengthened her connections across Pinellas, Hillsborough, and Pasco counties—relationships that will be invaluable as First Contact continues to grow its reach and impact.
